Ballroom Dancing: Meets at Mollington Village Hall on alternative Modays from 1:30 to 3:30pm. Our professional dance teacher covers Modern Ballroom and Latin American, at all levels. After an hour's tuition we carry on practising our newly acquired steps! You don't have to be in a couple - in fact, at one meeting, we had a surplus of male dancers.

Friday Walking: A group for those who enjoy slightly more demanding walking, including the scenic upland areas of North Wales. Winter walks are usually 6 to 8 miles, with longer/more ambitious all-day walks of 10 - 12 miles, depending on terrain, in the summer. Some hills and occasional rocky or boggy stretches have to be expected, so boots, waterproofs and a reasonable level of fitness are essential. Walks are usually followed by a pub meal and members take turns to organise and lead walks on the first Friday of the month. Click here for photos and reports from some of the Group's walks.

Strolling: Walks generally held 1st Friday and 3rd Monday of each month. Members will share the organisation of walks by taking turns to trial and lead walks throughout the year. Walks are 3-4 miles in length, generally level with few stiles and sound ground underfoot. However we cannot be held responsible for climate and so all walkers should wear sensible shoes or boots and if necessary carry a stick. All members should understand that the leaders bear no responsibility for health and safety - we walk together as sensible friends. There is a waiting list for membership. Click here for photos taken during our weekend visit to Corsham (Wiltshire).

Sunday at Seven: A monthly social occasion to enjoy a meal amongst friends, held on the Sunday evening following the Tuesday morning U3A meeting. During winter months October to March, we meet at local restaurants in Chester. During April to September we travel to different venues in out-lying districts, sharing cars for members without transport. Typical number of 'SAS' members attending varies between 12 and 24.
