The Victoria Baths began its long awaited restoration in 2007. The building is open to visitors during Restoration Phase 1, and is well worth a visit. Warm clothing is recommended! Completion of Phase 1 is due during the summer of 2008. The achievements so far are quite amazing - further information can be found on the Victoria Baths website.
Thanks to Mary Vives and Barbara Wright for organizing the visit (and us!). It was a unique experience and brought back happy (shivering) memories to many of us of time spent in Chester City Baths in our younger days...
